By 10:00 this morning it was already 27 degrees when we left Gambo after stopping at Cashin's Chestnut Café. Gambo is the home town of one of the teachers I work with and this is her brother-in-laws café. Didn't get to Gander till noon, should have taken 20 minutes, but took an hour and a half on a very bumpy road due to construction.
Quirky little cafe |
More breathtaking scenery |
Walmart shopping and Stacey came over from her work at Penningtons to say hi to Scott and Mickey in the vehicle. On our way until our lunch stop at Grand Falls-Windsor and then another at Springdale for fuel.
This is a return trip down the same roadway for us, which happened lots in NFLD. This happened as we decided to go back to the same ferry due to the duration of the trip. We didn't want to leave
Mickey for 12 hours on the Argentia ferry, so went back to Port aux Basque.
Started north towards Gros Morne which started a new part of the route for us. Scenery was great as we drove along the coast and looked at breathtaking cliffs. Pulled into Rocky Harbour just outside of Gros Morne for the night. What a great site, with green grass and thick trees surrounding us.

One of our favorite sites so far! |
