Day 43- August 8 Niagara Falls to Lansing MI, USA
All packed up, said our thanks and goodbye to Andre and headed to the USA border.

That's what I call a friend! |
Drove west past Hamilton and London. Tried to meet up with Joany at Circle R Ranch, but she was very busy so we waved at each other through a text. Stopped at Baxter Park just outside Sarnia for lunch and to see our fourth great lake, Lake Huron.

Yup it looks wet |
It took us about an hour to get across the Blue Water Bridge into Michigan. The toll this time cost us $10.50 as we had the trailer. We had all our passports and documents ready to go, and weren't detained. We moved from highways to interstates now that we are in the USA.

Got fuel at $3.59/gallon and eventually found a campsite called Cottonwood in Lansing, the capital of Michigan. Got supper started and a load of laundry in as soon as we got there. Glad I had a bag of American coins for the laundry machines. We watched the lightening bugs lift off the ground and glow green briefly as they flew up, very cool.

Still reading the new book and Mickey can't wait to pee in the USA. |
Drove 7 hours today to start our homeward journey.
Nice to have a bit of a down day to relax and recover from previous stuff
