Drove 5 minutes down the road from our campsite to the visitor center at Hopewell Rocks to look around. Saw the video of when one of the rocks fell and one of the time lapse of low and high tides. Very cool to see!

Off to Moncton to Magnetic Hill. This is a strange little road on the foothills of Lutes Mountain. Once we stopped at the bottom of the hill by the white post and put our vehicle in neutral, we mysteriously rolled uphill!
Continued on down the highway to Shediac and the World's Largest Lobster at 10.7m long and 50 metric tons. They were having a Lobster Festival Du Homard and Hailey was in Heaven. (Scott too!)
It's no parliament, but just as grand to Hailey! |
Soon we were on the Confederation Bridge crossing over the Northumberland Strait on the 12.9 km bridge to P.E.I. It only took us 12 minutes to cross the 62 piers that hold the bridge 40 m above the water.

We crossed the island in about 30 minutes to the north side to find our campsite at Cavendish Sunset Campground for the night. Didn't take long for the kids to find the pool and cool off. We have gotten into quite a routine of everyone helping set up and prep the trailer for our trip. Everybody helps out and rotates jobs from taking care of Mickey to setting up the trailer.

Only drove for 3 hours today, but very excited about exploring PEI tomorrow.
That is a very cool bridge...kinda hard to see over that huge cement barrier tho. PEI kinda like a different world but oh that lobster is so yummy!
