Day 6- July 2 Wawa to Sudbury, Ontario
As Scott was getting fuel this morning the cashier said "Da Mudders were teddering down their children in the back yard" referring to how big the mosquitos were and that mothers needed to tie their kids down so they didn't get carried away! LOL

Followed Lake Superior to Pancake Bay to Agawa Crafts for some shopping that Scott suggested! The girls and I bought a few things, but they guys haven't found what they are looking for yet.

Yes Scott shopping! |
We were in Sault Ste. Marie by 2:00 walking around the canals and locks on St. Mary's Island and Whitefish Island. The locks originally built in 1887-95 were built to avoid St. Mary rapids and link Lake Superior to Huron. The locks are now only used for pleasure crafts on the Canadian side as a large crack found in 1987 closed the 77m locks. Sault Ste. Marie is also the birth place of Roberta Bondar, Canada's first female astronaut. Brody was interested in the bridge that connects Canada to Michigan in the USA, and where exactly the border is. We found this stop also very interesting. Stopped at the local market for some fresh sweet bread, cinnamon buns, maple beef jerky, strawberries and vegetables to go with our late lunch.

With a statement like that from the cashier I would think you were in Newfoundland already. So what exactly are you shopping for Scott? Bill says you are in the wrong store! :)
