Day 39- August 4 Montreal to Ontario
Girls went to finish their game of miniature golf and for a swim before we headed out for the day. It was a hot, muggy day and 28 degrees by 11:30 a.m. when we left Montreal.

Getting ready to head out |
We drove through a tunnel under the St. Lawrence River as we headed to Ontario. We stopped at Prescott for lunch under a row of trees next to the St. Lawrence River. We had some of our yummy award winning cheese we bought earlier. Mickey drank from the river and the girls and I touched it. I also got a couple of rocks for my inukshuk I plan to build when we return home.

Sitting beside the St. Lawrence |
Traffic got heavy after lunch as we got closer to Toronto due to construction and the long weekend, we probably lost an hour in stop and go traffic. Then it was thick traffic until we turned off the 401 at Whitby for fuel and food. It rained briefly the closer we got to Toronto. Back on the road we passed Kingston, home of Sir John A MacDonald.

Heavy traffic in the low fog |
We followed our GPS in the dark to our campground at Cedar Park near Musselman Lake by Stouffville. We arrived about 10 pm, set up and we all headed off to bed. Todays drive took us twice as long to get where we wanted due to the Toronto area traffic.
We went thru a tunnel too but that was from Ottawa to Montreal via train...cannot remember if it went under the St Lawrence or not. It has been very hot and muggy here the last two weeks, sure feels like Ontario weather :)
