Day 21- July 17 Ferry to Newfoundland

Day 21- July 17   Ferry to Newfoundland

Another early morning for us as we were gone by 7:45 and arrived at North Sydney by 9:15 to catch the ferry, Blue Buttees, across the Cabot Strait and Atlantic Ocean.
Newfoundland here we come

We were on, loaded, and seated by 11:00 or 11:30 Newfie time.  Brody can't get over it's just a half hour time change.
Crazy Newfy time!

Mickey was in the trailer for our 6 hour voyage, but we couldn't go down this time to check on him like on the last ferry from PEI to Nova Scotia.  Propane off, all our toys, pillows, snacks up with us for the voyage.  The seats were quite comfortable and they had 3 different TV stations on for us to watch.
In their own world of DS games

We had lunch on board in the restaurant, read, slept, played DS and shopped.  Scott and Hailey played cards again.  We also enjoyed walking outside on the deck.
We see the Rock!

Mickey did great again and the waters were fairly calm for our voyage.  We were at the visitor center in Port aux Basque by 6:00 letting Mickey out for a pee break and stretch.  It was raining, no it was pouring!!
We've made it to the last province!

Drove through Twin Mountains to Doyle on the rock.  Hailey picked out our campsite and is getting into reading the maps and picking places to stay.

NFLD or The Rock

Only drove for 3 hours today, but it seemed like a long day as we were on the ferry for 6 hours.
