Day 36- August 1 New Brunswick to Quebec

Day 36- August 1    New Brunswick to Quebec and zip lining

We were gone by 9:20 am from Shediac NB for a big day of driving.  First stop was Fredericton for fuel at only 129.9 /litre.  It was a sunny day today driving down familiar highways.
Countryside

We stopped at Grand Falls visitor center for lunch.  We've been here before but this time the kids went on the Zip Zap, or zip line over the falls.  We were there about 2 hours in total having lunch at the picnic table and their adventure.  Their zip included two crossings over the Grand Falls Gorge. Hailey got a little extra ride as she didn't quite make it across to the brake zone and slid back out over the falls.  The guide had to go out on the same wire and rescue her.  She was all smiles and waving as she hung over the 40 m gorge.
Darby's off first!

Hailey's ready

I can fly!

Hailey needing to be rescued!!

We all survived

Just around the corner we stopped a the Atlantic Superstore for some groceries.  Kids are big helpers as we select fruits, veggies and a few extras.  Next stop was at Edmundston, just before the Quebec border for fuel.  Then a stop at the welcome to Quebec sign and a time change back an hour.
Welcome back

We drove along the St. Lawrence River and pulled into Riviere Ouelle campsite for the night.  Brody picked this campsite that was really close to the river.  With my little French and Hailey's grade 5 French we haven't had any problem communicating.

A good 8 hour day of  driving, but with some fun zip lining!!
